Ergo Canto is a folk music duo composed of Paul Beck and Leslie Bryant.

They perform a wide variety of original songs, covers, and traditional folk material.

In addition to vocals, you may hear six and twelve string guitars, fiddle, flute, mandolin, harmonica, and who knows what all else!

Paul Beck recently took early retirement from a high tech career to focus on music, woodworking, and crossword puzzles.  He plays guitars, mandolin, cittern, and banjo.

Leslie Bryant teaches in the Boston school system.  She plays fiddle, flute, pennywhistle, and percussion.

Oh, by the way ... as to our name ... originally we were going to call ourselves Les Paul, but found out some other dude had already taken that moniker. Next best seemed to be an obscure Latin phrase that probably makes people think we sing madrigals (so far, no!). Seriously, if you're familiar with Rene Descarte's famous quotation "Cogito, ergo sum" (I think, therefore I am) you might see how Ergo Canto ("Therefore we sing") would fit us.
